Catastrophe!

28th - 31st July 2010 - 7:30 pm

London 1984: The Poshington family are the Royalty of the cat world.  It is their sole purpose in life to rid London of all Street Cats, Alley Cats and Roof Top Cats, and to make their city a quite and peaceful place fit only for the crème de la crème.

Meanwhile, on a rooftop not a million miles away, the Roof Top  Cats sing to celebrate the birthday of their leader RTL.

And so begins an evening of fun and fear, threats and revelations.  (Oh yes, and there might be a bit of singing and dancing too ......)

So cast your minds back to the days of Adam Ant, Culture Club and Rick Astley and see if you can resist singing along as we go back to the 80s!

IMPORTANT EVENT!

Diamond Days of the Wayfarers - Give Us Your Memories!

You may be aware that 2011 sees the 60th Anniversary of the Wayfarers, and to mark this milestone Rebecca Condron and Keith Ramsey, two local historians, are compiling a history of the group.

Rebecca and Keith want to hear your Wayfarers memories - they will be at The Hut on Saturday 11th September from 2.30pm so please come and meet them.  They would love to talk to anyone who remembers anything about the Wayfarers, either from many years ago or more recently, and to see any old programmes, posters, photos etc you may have.  It should be a fascinating afternoon, and as an extra incentive we will be providing tea, coffee and home-made cakes.

You don't have to be part of the Wayfarers - we hope to see as many people as possible, whether you are a member, friend, used to be involved a long time ago, or just have memories of the productions as an audience member, Rebecca and Keith will be interested in your memories from any perspective.

Once they have finished their research they will present it to us in whatever form we request, so your input on this is also important.  Get your thinking caps on and decide how you would like to record the history of our group - maybe a book, a presentation, even a dramatisation (if someone fancies working on a script!)  The choice is yours.

If you are unable to attend on the 11th but would like to contribute you can contact Rebecca by e-mail on rebecca@bristolresearch.co.uk or via the Wayfarers website contact button, or you can ring Janet (01934 626213) or Jenny (01934 633581) and we will pass your phone number on to Rebecca so she can contact you.

Please get involved, it's your group and a 60th birthday is no mean feat so let's make it the best we can!
